Everything stays in your browser. You can edit your answers and run it again as many times as you like.

How this tool works

Most CVs list duties in the wording of a job description: "responsible for customer service". Employers read hundreds of those and remember none of them. A strong CV line says what you did, at what scale, and what changed because of it.

This tool takes those three pieces separately, then reassembles them into a few phrasings so you can pick the one that reads best. If you leave the result blank, you get an honest responsibility line instead of an invented statistic.

Write the scale in plain terms: a team of six, a sixty-cover restaurant, forty deliveries a day. Scale is the detail most people leave out, and it is usually what makes a line credible.

What happens to the information you enter

  • Everything you type stays in your browser. Nothing is sent to a server and nothing is saved.
  • No account is needed and no email address is asked for.
  • Refreshing the page clears what you entered. Copy anything you want to keep, or save it to a free Career Passport.

Read the EarnedStory privacy policy for the full detail.

What this tool will not do

  • It rearranges and tidies what you type. It does not research your employer or guess at figures.
  • One line at a time. A full CV needs six to ten of these, plus the rest of the document.

Frequently asked questions

Will it make up achievements for me?
No. If you do not give a result, the tool produces a responsibility line and tells you what is missing. Inventing figures is the fastest way to come unstuck at interview.
Do I need an account?
No. The tool works in full without signing up. An account is only useful if you want to keep your lines and build them into a CV later.
How many bullet points should a job have on my CV?
Three to five for a recent role, and one or two for older roles. Quality beats volume.

Keep your evidence in one place

A free Career Passport records what you have actually done, dated and in your own words, so your next CV, interview or promotion case starts from evidence rather than memory.
